Anger Management

Didn't do anything productive yesterday. We rescheduled the redecorating. I did reach my target activity though which was 30 mins.

My name is Katie J and I need Anger Management. There have been a number of occasions as of late that are making this more apparent. For example: I had a lazy morning this morning and did not eat anything or have any coffee. I was supposed to go to the movies with my mom. We got to the parking lot and she questioned my parking abilities and I blew up at her and decided I just wanted to go home. We drove in silence and then exchanged words when we got back to the house. She did say that I seem to get angry a lot. WTH is wrong with me? Ughhh.... I am emotionally and physically tired so it is going to be an early night. At least it will be a short week. Hoping to go walking tomorrow. Maybe I should sign up for kickboxing... Until next time...

XOXOX,

  1. Maybe the anger is coming out as you stop using food to suppress emotions?

I noticed you said you didn't eat anything or have any coffee? Hopefully you had something before you left for the movies or could that have triggered the crankiness?

Those struggling with alcohol use HALT (Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired) to warn them of things that trigger drinking; for me it will trigger a binge, or certainly eating too much.
Hope you feel better after a good nights sleep

  3. HALT works well for me - and maybe it was a result of low blood sugar?

I love the punching bag at my gym. Have given serious thought to getting one for at home - there is nothing like beating your frustrations out on an inanimate object, lol!

  4. I agree with the posts above - probably had something to do with low blood sugar. I know I get cranky if I haven't had my food and coffee, esp. the coffee. Wow, my body is so dependent on it.

  5. You can get cranky because someone is pissing you off. It doesn't have to be low blood sugar.

You're fine. Hope by now you are all back in fine shape!
