Now the fun begins!

Small deficit because I was hankering for M&Ms and I also had an extra snack. I have a blasted cold so I did not go to the gym. I did get on the scale this morning since Wednesday is my new weigh day. I am at 267. Which means I am up 2 lbs. vs. 5 lbs. so that is good news. In other news: I will be moving in officially on November 1st. I have to give 30 days notice where I am at now. The moving and packing will be good exercise for sure! My mom and I have been talking about Christmas plans. Since my dad passed away 10 years ago, my mom and I have always gone away for the holidays. We have gone on two cruises (Mexico and Caribbean), Las Vegas, Reno, Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Boulder, Colorado. We haven't decided what we want to do this year. She even mentioned going on another cruise. The last cruise proved to be a big motivator so we will see. Feels weird to be thinking about Christmas but it is going to be here before we know it! Hope you all are having a good week and thanks for all the positive comments about my move! Ch-ch-ch-changes! Until next time...

  2. Congratulations on getting rid of some of that added weight! 2 pounds in 2 days, even if they were mostly fake bloat pounds, is always nice.

That sounds like a great tradition. If you end up not doing the cruise option, have you considered Santa Fe? What about Hawaii? Or if you're up for some place cold (seeing as you're generally spoiled by nice California weather!) you could consider Salt Lake City or even Chicago. Good luck trip planning!

Bonding and spending time with your mother is always a great thing to do :) Wishing you both a wonderful time and I'm sure you'll enjoy it whatever destination you pick ;)

  4. If I were you, I would take an Amtrak train this Christmas. You can't beat staying in your own private bedroom rolling across America. www.amtrak.com

  5. What a fun Christmas tradition you and your mom started! Can't wait to see where you end up going!

Glad the gain was only 2 - much easier to take off. And can I just say that I admire how you log all of your food, even the M&Ms and such? Shows you are aware of everything you eat, which I think is so helpful in weight loss.

  10. Congratulations on your new apartment. I know that moving can be such a hassle, but there's some fun stuff, too. Getting to view your "stuff" in a new way. All cool! And I love your Christmas travel plans - we've just started that, too. I can't wait to hear where you decide to go. I'm such a travel nut!
