Foggy Friday

Dave had a volleyball meeting so I was on my own for dinner last night. I chose Mexican food and had ceviche (shrimp) and a chicken taco. Yummers and not too bad calorie wise. I am still on my Clear Clutter Campaign and was going through some paperwork and found these pictures.

It is supposed to represent what I "might" look like at goal. The picture was taken in Feb/March around the time I started my blog. Personally, I think the "after" pic is funky especially around the neck and face but it gives me a glimpse of what is underneath eh? This picture did help me see that I have made some progress. This blouse actually hangs on me now.

Dave is going to make spaghetti for dinner tonight. I don't like spaghetti or angel hair pasta but I will eat any other shape of noodle. Call me a weirdo but I just don't like the long and stringy noodles. I do like Chow Mien though... go figure.

I am hoping to go to the Gilroy Outlets tomorrow. I need some new work shoes and they have an Easy Spirit store there. I could use a new pair of athletic shoes too. They used to have stores at the local malls but now the closest actual store is in SF which is 60 miles away. Other then that I don't have any plans. Maybe I could get my fat ass to the gym?!?!? I have been trying to think why I am so resistant to going? What am I afraid of? Something to think about for sure.

When I first started out last year I was pretty religious about wearing my bugg everyday and all day. Now I take it off as soon as I get home and ditch it for the weekend. I need to keep it on more consistently. It is a constant reminder to be cognizant of what is going in my mouth and it's impact on my calories consumed. I have been getting a little to lax on the weekends and I think this will help. Well, I hope you all have a great weekend. Until next time...

  1. You're still working at it, you have to follow your own pace.

  2. I've done the 'My Virtual Model', but not had a photo of my doctored to show what I *might* look like at goal... The trouble with MVM is that the dimensions have a maximum upper limit and it doesn't matter what weight you put it, it won't change. At least the photo gives some credible (to a certain extent) idea of what changes can be made to our bodies once we've lost the excess weight. :o)

I'm going 'back to basics' with my eating as bad habits were beginning to surface... It sounds as though you feel the same way about your BodyBugg!

    Have a great weekend!

  3. I am resistant to the gym simply because I don't like them. I just don't. But I do love exercise and thoroughly enjoy my running, walking, Thai Boxing, Yoga DVD, etc. Find what you like Katie and not only will you do it, but you'll stick to it. Have a great weekend!

  4. How is the calorie deficit thing working for you? Do you find this to be motivating? And where do I find the log you're using?

  8. That is weird about you not going to the gym, because you were doing so well for a while. Have you lost your workout buddy? I know for me I like to have someone to be miserable...um, workout with!

  10. Thanks for stopping by Katie - I'll check out the Nikon Sniper.
I really want to get a bodybugg but I can't find anyone that will ship to Canada. One day maybe..
Glad to have found you... :)

  11. Ooo! Shoes! Enjoy your weekend.

My Husband only likes certain shaped noodles, too. LOL

  13. Hi Katie,
I too love shoe shopping, but only when I can go without my children! Have fun!:-)
And I don't think you're weird to be "noodle picky". In my house pasta has to be a certain size AND shape in order for everyone to be in agreement enough to actually eat it.
To answer your question, my spa appt is on March 5th. Thanks for the tip BTW. I think I shall follow your lead on that one for sure.
    Have a great weekend!

  14. How cool are those pictures! I used to use my virtual model as a weight loss simulator but it didn't really give realistic looking results. At least, not that I could tell.

The BodyBugg looks like it works really well for you! Do you find that you push yourself to try and top your calories burned everyday?

I don't like spaghetti either. I do like linguine, though - so I have some weird pasta issues!
