Slicker then Snot

Had a decent day food wise yesterday. Would have been a bigger deficit if I had not had Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream for dessert. (Secretia, I hear you now!) Today is weigh day and I am down to 258 which is a -1 lb. loss this week. I am now just one pound away from my lowest on this journey so far so if I bust arse this week I can meet or surpass that. I need to kick into high gear if I am going to meet my goals.

In my shopping escapades, I bought some new bathroom rugs at Kohl's. They are reversible which sounded great to me. One side is looped and the other is plush. It is like getting two for the price of one right? Well I brought them home, put them in the bathroom and HG stepped in there and almost fell. He said "Those rugs are slicker then snot, Kate!" After I regained my composure I pulled out the rugs. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond at lunchtime and bought some of that gripper stuff and it worked out just fine. The place is coming together nicely if I do say so myself. I will be taking some pictures of it soon.

I picked up a Food Network Magazine (can we say impulse buy?) and it has 126 recipes in it. So I gave it to Dave to pick out a new dinner for me to cook. He will pick up the items needed and have it there for when I get home from work. That should be fun! Plus HG will help me prep. Dave knows my preferences so he will pick something good for sure. I definitely need to add some recipes to my repertoire. Hope you are all having a good week so far. Until next time...

  5. One of my Dad's favorite sayings was: "Slicker than snot on a doorknob." I never thought I'd hear someone else say anything close to that.

  6. So, was that the Slow Churned Edy's Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream? (Maybe Dreyer's for you.) Because, I'm not kidding, I had to put myself to bed last night so I wouldn't eat a second helping of it.

  9. Great that you lost - but I advise you to keep away from that ice cream! It's tasty stuff but a big no-no.

Pretty soon you will have beaten your all time low!

Glad you got the rugs de-slicked. I had to laugh out oud at that. My dad used that term all the time, slicker than snot. I don't think I've ever heard that anywhere else! lol
