The Weigh it Goes

I did not get my pedicure last night. I called to confirm my appt. time and to see if she was running on time and she said I was on the schedule for Wednesday so I will go tonight. Grrr. I got in about a 20 mins of the Wii game Walk it Out! I like this game a lot! It has great music and the time goes by fast and I don't even realize how far I have gone. I did not have my bugg on though (Doh!) so it is not accounted for in the screenshot.

Got on the scale and I did have a gain. I am not making excuses but I have consumed quite a bit of sodium the last few days so I know it is water weight. For this week, I am not updating my info and will wait it out until next week.

This is an excerpt from my adoption papers. It is the key info for me finding the birth parents. At this point, I have requested Non-Identifying information which includes Nationality and Medical info. I just have to have the letter notarized which I can do at the local UPS store. Susan at Susan's Journey to Keep Fit has graciously offered to help me as well.

That the natural mother was married on September 14, 1961, at Salinas, California. That the natural mother entered into a second marriage on April 15, 1965, at Reno, Nevada, prior to the dissolution of the first marriage.

Now, math is not my forte, however, the dates don't add up. They presume husband #1 is the father but according to the dates it is kind of funky. I was conceived in September of 1965 and born on June 21, 1966. She was married for 5 months to husband #2 before I was even conceived. I wonder if I will ever know the whole story... In the meantime, I am getting the ball rolling on finding out some info. Until next time...

  1. I know what you mean about the salt. I ate some popcorn one night and the next day the sclae said I gained a pound!

  2. Wow, what a mystery. Does it mean she never divorced #1 before marrying #2? Maybe she never legally married #2 before you were conceived/born?

  3. She did not divorce #1 prior to marrying #2. So technically she was still married to #1. I guess that is why he is the presumed father.

  4. I guess it's like pieces to a puzzle and eventually you'll get all the pieces to fit. Good luck with your search.

I've heard good things about Walk it Out!

  5. How interesting on your search to find out that information. Keep us updated! Good luck on that too!

I'm sure your gain was due to the sodium too. We all know that it will make us gain. I always know that when I eat my smart pop popcorn I will gain the next day. I NEVER eat it the night before weigh in day for that reason! It'll come off in no time! :)

  6. It's time to go CSI Katie. I'll distract them with bimbo'ness' and Chickadee. Then you can grab their straw or a piece of hair. There have to be either ancestors or descendants.

Once you get a few names we can set up a date.

  8. My bio father is adopted. I never really knew him (he is a horrible person who sent my mother to the hospital often before she finally divorced him), but it would be interesting to know my family history as well. best of luck in your journey!

  9. Very very interesting - I guess back in those days the father was whoever the mother was married to...not necessarily so, as it looks in your case.
