Woeful Wednesday Weigh-in

I am just going to get it out. I am up 3 lbs and I am not happy. Do I know why it happened? Yes! I have been loosey goosey with my portions and having snacks later at night. Am I going to fix it? YES!!! I am throwing down the proverbial gauntlet and declaring battle on my bulge. I am sick and tired of dancing with the same couple of pounds.

Steve at LogMyLoss is doing a Hot 100 Challenge and I think the timing is perfect. I need to jump start my weight loss again and I think this will be a great way to do so. There are exactly 100 days left in 2010. What are you going to do for the last 100 days of 2010? I will declare my goals in tomorrow's post.

Tonight we are having Salmon (yay!) for dinner with red potatoes and green beans. I plan on going for a walk or bike ride with Dave for sure. I also need to review the Class Schedule at 24 hr. Fitness to pick out some classes to go to. I really would like to try Cardio Kickboxing but I am not sure I am fit enough. Have any of you tried it? Hope you are having a good week! Until next time...

P.S. For those of you who used to follow Hadley at Halving Hadley, she is back!!! I missed you Miss Hadley! So glad you came back!

  2. Aw Katie, I'm so sorry to hear about the disappointing weigh in. It's not what you wanted, but you know how to fix it and get back on track, so there's not a doubt in my mind that you can do it.

I've been away a while, so I'm sure it's old hat to everyone else, but I just wanted to say how beautiful you look in your new-ish profile picture. The 60 pounds you've lost have made an enormous difference and you should be so proud of yourself. Just pick yourself back up, keep at it, and you've got the world ahead of you.

  3. I know how you feel. I gained four pounds this week. The hot 100 sounds like a good challenge.

  4. My friend, I'd so love to see you bust through this weight rut - I know you have it in you! Can't wait to hear your Hot 100 goals tomorrow...when you put your mind to something, you always achieve it!

I think cardio kickboxing sound fun - the little bit of it that I did during my workouts? LOVED. Try it!

  5. The Hot 100 was my very first challenge. I'm not participating this time around as I feel challenged out right now but I agree with Shelley. When you make up your mind you follow through.

Do the kickboxing. You can always modify the moves if it feels too hard. Besides you are a Wii Master so you are definitely coordinated enough!

  9. I'm sure you'll get those 3 pounds off quickly and start on some fresh pounds.

I'm thinking of joining Steve's Hot 100 Challenge too. Sounds like fun and a good way to stay on track through the holidays and finish off the year strong. Let's see how much we can accomplish in the last 100 days of 2010 just in time to make those New Year resolutions.

I was happy to see Hadley back too.

  11. It almost seems that after a marathon of dieting discipline, it's pretty predictable to get "loosey goosey" for a while. It's almost like you have a to take a break mentally. Then you'll know when it's time to "get back to work." Your progress has been amazing. Your little vacation was well deserved.
