Best Laid Plans

Well yesterday did not go as planned. I did not end up meeting up with Michael and Candace. As the day went by the plans became more complicated and they did not want to meet until 7:00 p.m. I am used to eating at 6:00 p.m. so I started getting low blood sugar and had to eat. By the time they called me to tell me where to meet them it was already close to 7:00 p.m. so I said I was going to pass on meeting up with them. He was a little upset but I explained and he understood. When he meets the doctor today, they will be making a follow up appt. and we can plan a little better for another visit so we can spend some quality time together. I ended up grazing and exceeded my usual calories. I am thankful there was a deficit at all.

In an effort to drink more water, I have taken a suggestion from another blogger and drank one bottle with my morning meds and then brough the bottle with me to work.  Since we have bottled water here at work, I can refill my bottle 3 more times to get my daily amount.

Most likely will go to my mom's tonight. I got her a desk lamp for Christmas and she wants to use it now. We will go to Fish Market first which is always yummy. Until next time...

P.S. Please consider donating to Chickadee's Therapy Dog Fund They are really close to goal!

  2. Things don't always work out as planned, but you need to take care of you and your health (blood sugar, etc). I've already donated to Chickadee's Dog Fund. It's a good thing. I'm sure they will make their goals thanks to bloggers like you.

  3. My day didn't go as planned yesterday either. It happens. Great job maintaining a calorie deficit in spite of things. :)

  4. annnnd it's a new day :)
Im horrible at the water and have taken to the literal/tangible approach.
I start with 6 bracelets on one arm and SWITCH each time I drink a cup.
it's not fancy (rubber) it may not be enough (only 6) but it's a start...
