March On!

The last few days have had me in a funk and I am trying to shake it. I keep telling myself "Tomorrow is another day" and alas it is. I have had some disappointments and heartache as of late but it's all part of life, right? We just have to pick up the pieces and start again. So here it goes! March on baby!

When I got home after work yesterday, I had a Lean Cuisine BBQ Pizza for dinner since Dave had a game and I did not want to cook. I put in Dance Party 2 and shook my booty for 30 minutes. It felt really good and it definitely gets your heart rate going. Nice numbers above - I just need to keep it up!

Welcome March! I've been waiting for you! Not only do you bring us Daylight Savings Time on the 13th so we can enjoy the daylight later but you also bring the First day of Spring to us on the 20th! I want to make some major headway this month and nothing like a clean slate (Helen) to kick it off!  I started this year sick with the flu and then had kidney stones in the beginning of February so I have some catching up to do but I have faith that I will reach my goals!

One more thing... I LOVE SNOOZIES! I was blog surfing the other day and came across Tammy's post about Snoozies. She received them as a Birthday gift but said they had lots of colors and designs so I did some more investigating and found this pair on Amazon:

I got them yesterday and put them on as soon as I got home. My feet get too warm sometimes so I am not a  fan of super cushy slippers but these are not slippers and they aren't socks -- their Snoozies! They kept my feet warm but not too warm.  Dave said "Wow, these are great!" They have grippy on the bottom so you won't slip on tile or hardwood floors. They are machine washable too.  You can get them at Hallmark stores, Amazon or other retailers for about $12. They even have occasion ones for Birthday's, St. Patrick's day and more. Fun, fun, fun! Hope you have a wonderful day! Until next time...

  2. I love positive posts. With all the struggles people on weight loss journeys go through (on a daily basis!), it's so nice to read people who don't just sink into the despair, they get up and MARCH ON! Great post, baby! I'm proud of you! And I'll have to check out those Snoozies, too! They look comfy.

    Keep on marchin', babycakes!

  6. First--Thanks for the comment on my blog, Katie. As soon as I type this, I AM going out for a walk. I thought about it a few minutes before I read your comment and decided against it--then your voice changed my mind. :)

    Second--Woohoo, calorie deficit.

Third--LOVE the snoozies! I'll be checking into those!

  11. Oh I love the MARCH ON mantra. Can I use it? The slippers are so cute. I am kind of sad to see March. It means hot as Hell is just around the corner for me here in the desert.

You can push through this. I've seen you do it before!

  12. Your snoozies are so cute! I love them...and thanks for mentioning me and my blog! :) You are too sweet. I was reading a little more about you tonight...I too struggle with weight issues...it's tough. I lost about 7 pounds in January but then have gained a few back. I had to find my motivation again so today was day 1 of counting points. I have less than 30 to take off but it so much harder than it looks...I think you understand though!

    Have a good one...:)

  16. Love this post. This time around what's working for me is realising this is FOREVER. Yes FOREVER is a long time, but it will be a longer time if I take care of myself and get my weight down.

I will always have to watch my food intake, count calories or points...or something. It is not going away. Get over it. No, it's not fair. Just get over it already and do it.
