Slimmer this Summer!!!

As I mentioned yesterday, I have decided to participate in a challenge and it is the Slimmer this Summer Challenge which is being hosted by Debbi at Debbi Does Dieting and Princess Mir at Two Years to Happy Weight After. Officially, the Challenge starts on Monday, June 6th but I thought I would plot out my plan ahead of time. The challenge runs for 12 weeks. I would like to be down 100 lbs. by the time the challenge is over so it would mean I need to lose 2.91 lbs. per week on average or a total of 35 lbs. I think it is achievable albeit a steep goal. My only foreseeable roadblock is me...

The beauty of this challenge is setting your own goals which I have outlined
  • Weight: I would like to lose 35 lbs. by the end of the challenge. Average of 2.9 lbs/week. Lofty goal but my thought is shoot for the moon. Even if I don't achieve my goal, it can't hurt to try to reach it.
  • Measurements: I will take measurements June 6th and August 28th.
  • Water Consumption: I will slowly increase my consumption to 60-80 ozs. daily
  • Activities: Try new classes at gym weekly. Increase daily activities and steps.  Quota 10K per day
  • Other: Picture in bathing suit at beginning and of challenge. Yikes, this is not a requirement of the challenge but rather something I want/need to do.
I will give weekly updates on my goals on Fridays when I do me weekly weigh in. If you are interested in joining the challenge there is still time. With the support of everyone and my renewed mojo I am hoping to rock this summer and make it memorable! Plus I will be giving myself the best gift possible which is health and wellness. Ready, set, GO!!!! Until next time...

  1. Oh, I'm gonna be excited to check in on you with those lofty goals. You are brave! And I say go for it.

I love that you're gonna do a bathing suit pic. It's gonna help so much with documentation when you can SEEEEEEE SEEEE the changes. I regret I didn't take pics of me at my biggest in a suit for comparison. It's gonna charge you up!

3 pounds a week is gonna be a lot of discipline. I know you have it in you, and since I plan to pray for the challengers (join me!), I will pray you make those 3 lbs a week!

I flunked out of like 3 challenges before I finally started seeing challenge success last summer. Sometimes, it just clicks.

Let this be your ON FIRE LIKE MAD summer. Blow past 100 pounds lost!

  9. I'm so happy you joined the StS challenge too. I can't wait to see what we can accomplish this year. I love the idea of taking progress pictures but always chicken out. You would think it would get better after losing 90+ pounds but I still find them hard to look at. Good luck!
