It's Hard to Do

As I have mentioned over the last few months, Dave is still here. I read back to the beginning of this year in my blog and it was in July that I told him things were over between us. I had emotionally separated from him to a certain extent at that point. I still care about him and always will but I know we do not have a future together. We have been together almost 7 years. When my mom went in the hospital, he was extremely helpful to me and made sure I stayed nourished and rested and then again with this sciatic problem. It can't go on forever though and we have been talking and at this point he said he would be gone by next weekend.Any way you look it it, it ain't gonna be easy. It is for the best and I know that I have a bright future but it is hard to see that through my tears right now.... Until next time..

  2. Oh babycakes...you're stronger than you think - which you've proved by deciding not to settle and to seek happiness - even knowing it will hurt in the beginning. It won't always hurt...I promise you.

  4. I am so sorry you and Dave couldn't work through things, but sometimes hun things are for the best, you tried as hard as you could and sometimes that just isn't enough to hold a relationship together. I pray and wish for you to find your life partner, someone that is going to treat you like the queen that you are.

  5. You probably already know that many of us, including me, have been through this too and it does get better. You are so courageous to stake your claim on the life you want...if you don't, who will?

  6. Rough to finally make the break, but it sounds like you know it's necessary. Big hugs to you - hang in there, Katie.

  7. Hi Katie, sending big hugs to you. As Shelley said though, sounds like ultimately you know this is the right thing for you both, but that certainly doesn't help the pain and sadness you are feeling today. Take care of yourself, you are strong and you deserve happiness!!!
