Puffy and Pain

Feels like forever since I did a real post... I am still in quite a bit of pain but it is more manageable with the Motrin and muscle relaxers. What really makes it improve is the anti-inflammatory but the muscle relaxers help with the spasms that shoot down my legs. I have been eating more with all the pills and the scale is up but I am giving myself a reprieve. The poison oak is healing slowly but surely. My doctor told me I could use a steroid cream I have and it will accelerate the healing on that front so that is a good thing.  I am off of work until December 4th which is putting a big bite into my income...Like Polar's Mom, things could be worse. I still have a lot to be thankful for.

One thing this sciatica has taught me is to be humble and that I want to get this weight off of me once and for all. It has been really hard to maneuver around using just my upper body strength and knees and daily tasks are hard to complete. I have not made it to the bathroom at least half a dozen times over the last week. One day I even had to have Dave help me in the  bathroom.

I am going to the eye doctor tomorrow because I am overdue for a retinal eye screening for my Diabetes so it will be good to get that taken care of. Now I just need to make a coochie doctor appt. I have procrastinated and really do need to get in and be seen. Until next time...

  1. Ugh, I need to see the pokem-and-proddem doc, too. I always seen to conveniently forget that I need the screening. Yukeroo. I so feel for you with your sciatica, as my mom used to have it really bad because she has scoliosis. Its like you gotta rest to let the nerve calm down, but if you don't move them your muscles will tighten and your back muscles will go out and put you right back on your back. Damned if you do and double damned if you don't I guess...
But for some reason, I have come across alot of bloggy peeps lately who are in a "this is the last time" mindset, me included. Not sure what is in the air, but I like it!!!

Feel better lady, keep the sanity, and can't wait to hear more!
