If we get rid of them, they are gone and we only have what we have. Kind of a built in accountability. Getting rid of the old clothes is big time commitment to a knew lifestyle.Desireehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10815785519558353138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730728178044661070.post-21739821298463156882010-12-17T20:42:55.203-07:002010-12-17T20:42:55.203-07:00I did the baggy clothes thing for a long time. It wasn't until I started walking on the bottom of my pants that I got some new ones and ditched the old ones. It is okay to let them go. And you will feel slimmer and a bit sexier in clothes that fit.

I will admit that I am an odd bird too.Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08301763232264453237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730728178044661070.post-66815255763816744572010-12-17T03:43:13.880-07:002010-12-17T03:43:13.880-07:00laughing as if you are an odd bird I FEAR what I a...laughing as if you are an odd bird I FEAR what I am :)

ah yes.

a misfit.carlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00218359443068688873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730728178044661070.post-29860589980470404002010-12-16T19:59:37.975-07:002010-12-16T19:59:37.975-07:00Rant... http://www.georgescream.com/ this cream i...Rant... http://www.georgescream.com/ this cream is amazing. Really, I looked bizarre.

I can't tell you the number of times I'd try on clothes, look in the mirror and not be able to decide if they were too big or not. Now, I'm talking about a size 48 top when I wore an 42. Couldn't tell if it was too big. Okay, then.

No, Katie, you are obviously not alone. :}

And--thank you for your comment on my blog! It made me chuckle--and NOD!

DebAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730728178044661070.post-67568787887905002162010-12-16T17:55:35.216-07:002010-12-16T17:55:35.216-07:00I saw that you won early this morning - congratula...I saw that you won early this morning - congratulations, how fun!!!

Um, get rid of the baggy pants asap. I found that wearing clothes that fit as I lost weight kept me more motivated...I didn't slip back into feeling "fat" like I did when my clothes were too baggy. And listen to Stacy and Clinton - they are right! :)Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05890227462052573887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730728178044661070.post-75845188266135787892010-12-16T13:04:16.533-07:002010-12-16T13:04:16.533-07:00I kept one pair of "baggy" pants to see ...I kept one pair of "baggy" pants to see my changes... but the rest I donated!! I didn't want to get in the frame of mind "look at how much room I have, I can totally eat four more pieces of.......blah..." Ya know!!! Good for you and dropping all the pounds!! now drop the clothes off, they are probably already falling off you!! ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730728178044661070.post-64015353759794529532010-12-16T11:39:56.152-07:002010-12-16T11:39:56.152-07:00You are right -- wearing clothes that fit a little...You are right -- wearing clothes that fit a little closer to the body will make you slimmer. It's hard to feel comfortable doing it at first, but I am glad I made the leap. It also keeps you honest -- you'll notice even the slightest variations in your waistline if your pants fit closer to the body.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13654894432698680400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730728178044661070.post-48440242000475127622010-12-16T11:24:28.344-07:002010-12-16T11:24:28.344-07:00Glad you won Katie *hugs*. Like Ariel said we are use to trying to cover up. I still have those. I was with him and had to buy a t-shirt one weekend. I grabbed an XL in Old Navy, in a color I liked and headed toward the register--he called me back and told me to buy the friggin Medium. I thought he was nuts, but it fit. Fit a little closely, but, it fit!
I think its partly some kind of body dismorphic thing, and partly that we feel safer all covered up!arielcircleofninehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11273972031512498463noreply@blogger.com
