Happy Friday everybody! It has been a struggle for me this week. While I am feeling more motivated and back on track, feeling sickly doesn't do much for the spirits, but I'm moving forward. I am feeling better today and knock on wood, my sore throat is gone.
We had Ravioli's and a salad for dinner. I am making sure I drink more fluids and while I am not at my goal of 64 ozs. daily, I am getting there. I got on the scale this morning and I am at 255. I have been bouncing around a couple of lbs. but this is down from the beginning of the week so that's good. I will be monitoring progress more closely from here on out so I am expecting good results.
So yesterday at lunch, I went and got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. The gal that does my threading, Rosy, also does permanent makeup. I have been thinking about doing eyeliner in a dark brown. It is about $250 which includes the consultation and the actual application. I do have two tattoos so I understand the concept but doing it on my eyelids scares me a little. I have talked to Rosy a few times about it and saw a stylist today that had it done so I talked to her about it too. Linda had eyeliner, lips and her eyebrows done and was really pleased with the results. I will do my due diligence researching all the pros and cons but wondered if any of you have done it or would do it? Do you think I am crazy for wanting to? Just wondering...
Will be a mellow weekend. I do plan on doing some form of exercise both days but I also need to make sure extra calories don't go down the old pie-hole lol. Hope you have a great weekend! Until next time...
Katie, I have my upper eyelids tattooed. I love it and wouldn't change it for anything in the world! I do still put eyeliner over the top when I'm going out, but waking up in the morning ready to face the world is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAlso tried to comment on your post yesterday about your progress pics, but something went wrong. Anyway, just wanted to say that I think you're doing GREAT and you should ABSOLUTELY take more progress pics!! :-)
oh. terrifying to get tattooed on the eyelid, but C. above seems to have survived!!
ReplyDeleteYou could always turn that into a goal reward!! :)
Great photos as well. YAY progress!!!!
Tattooing the eyelids sounds painful! But I am sure it's not that bad, or atleast hopefully!
ReplyDeleteYippee Friday. My mom's friend has permanent eyeliner, eyebrows and lip liner. She looks great. I didn't ask her if it hurt, but as my mom used to say, "You have to suffer to be beautiful," as you pulled the knots out of my hair (lol).
ReplyDeleteIve contemplated getting my eyebrows filled in (theyre pretty sparse) for years. I should bite the bullet & do it! Im tired of penciling.
ReplyDeleteI have an acquaintance who has her eyeliner and eyebrows tattoo'd on and it looks pretty awful. However, she had it done about 10 years ago, so I'm sure they've refined it since then. Still, I'd go really light on the liner to make it look as natural as possible. God knows you don't want to look like Elvira on a daily basis! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Katie! I have a few tattoos myself, so when my tattoo-less friend and I went to get permanent eyeliner I thought for sure she would chicken out! I shoulda went first because when I watched them do hers I totally chickened out! It wasn't even the actual tattooing, but the needle they use to numb your eye- OUCH! The lipliner, on the other hand, I thought looked AWFUL and neither of us even attempted that!
ReplyDeleteSounds pretty scary....but if you do your research and find out all the details - risks, advantages ...as you say...Due Dilligance and you decide you want it...go for it

Love your Friday graphic. I worked with a woman who got eyeliner and lipliner tattoo'd on. Know what? She looked great! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeletei get my eyebrows threaded too and i've noticed women that have it as well. i heard it honestly isn't that bad and i would actually love to do it myself! let me know what you decide hun! love your blog/post! xo
ReplyDeleteBack in the day, I babysat for a little girl who's parents were tattoo artists and owned their own shop. (That is how I got my tattoo.) She had the eyeliner, eyebrows and lipliner done when I was babysitting, so it must have been 15 years or so ago. It was painful but looked great on her. I am not sure I have the guts to do it myself, but if you do, then go for it.
ReplyDeleteMy mother had eye liner and her eyebrows tattooed years ago. She was very happy with the results but over the years it has faded and she wants to have it done again. I love the idea but I'm too chicken to ever do it.
