First Day of Summer Giveaway!

Happy First Day of Summer! Today is my 45th birthday! Woot Woot! Hard to believe that I am 45. I don't feel it really.  I feel better now then I have in YEARS! Most people think I am in my 30s so I will hold onto that as long as I can LOL!

Last night was devine! I loved getting all that pampering! My feet are no longer cute so no pics but I did a fuschia on my toes. Did not do the manicure and my hair is dark (will try to take pics at lunch)  Did just fine on food yesterday - thank goodness. Today is going to be walking a tightrope. We are going out to lunch (co-workers) at Elephant Bar and then tonight, my mom and Dave will take me to the Cheesecake Factory. I have looked at their menus and had made a plan of action. I will be sharing cheesecake with Dave and I doubt we will be able to finish it in one sitting but we will NOT be taking it home I decided. No need to have the temptation at home.

    My favorite part of summer is definitely going swimming with my kids all day long. I also really like going to the drive-in and watching movies under the stars. Another great thing is how active I can be :)

    And what a sweet thing to do, give presents on your birthday! My favorite part of summer are the fruits - watermelon, cherries, nectarines...so sweet!

    my favorite thing about summer are all the fireworks around the 4th of july. we normally go to the lake and set up some chairs and just watch the hour of fireworks. it reminds of me of being a kid. it's still as cool too.

    Happy Birthday!! My fav part about summer is STRAWBERRIES and the fact then when I sweat when I work out (which is a lot!)I'm not so bothered by it - because everyone is sweating anyway! At least I'm sweating with a purpose! LOL

    Sun, sun, sun. I NEED the sun and I NEED to be outside or else I go crazy. I just LOVE the sun and I look forward to being in it for the short summer months all year long! Winter Minnesota Sun so doesn't count. :-)

    First day of summer today and it's raining and cold. Grrr.

    So glad you feel better than you did in years! I just turned 40 and when I told someone they thought for sure I was in my lower 30's. Yea! That made me feel good. :-)

    I love being able to go outside for a walk/run with shorts and a top and hat and just taking in all the sunshine :) And maybe drinking a glass of wine outside with my love sitting beside me!

    Best part of summer? When we put up our gazebo, I switch from red wine to white wine and we can listen to the baseball game on the radio.

    I would twitter and facebook if I knew how! I barely know how my cell phone works. :D

    My favourite part of summer is my Birthday ...I was a middle of summer baby and get to have my birthday ( 10th Aug) right on the middle of lovely weather and summer holidays. Its a great time of year to have a birthday

    Happy Birthday!!!! My favorite part of summer is softball games at the park and Swimming!! It takes me a few weeks to feel 'comfy' with all those skinny folks around, but soon, I dont even notice!! OH and fresh fruit!!

    I have a few favorite things about summer...the fresh produce from the garden (not my own, but luckily I have a few friends that share!) is my #1 fave...can't be a homegrown tomato or some fresh squash! My second fave (and it's a close second) is knowing that I have a vacation planned at some point (this year, it was early summer...Memorial Day in Ft. Lauderdale)...but always good!!!

    Fave part of summer: I home school, and we take summers off. So I can just be a mom and take care of all the house stuff and not have to do school every day!

    I'm so glad you had such a good time yesterday, that's what it's all about. I have a big birthday coming up next week, and I'm looking forward to it.

    My favorite part about summer is that I'm off for two months, so my schedule is my own. I can do whatever I want, when I want. I take advantage of it by getting outside and active as many days as possible.
