I can see clearly now...
I am feeling much clearer today. Whew... Nothing too exciting to report about yesterday. I did well on food and got in a decent amount of steps. I did up my goal to 7,000 steps for August but honestly I did not do very well with my step goal for July. We shall see huh? Looks like we are on for the Garage sale on Saturday. That means I need to get that big pile of clothes out of my kitchen AND get rid of more stuff. I think I am done with most of the clothes but there are other things like purses and knick knacks that I need to purge. All I know is it feels SO much better with that stuff gone. I have been on a personal campaign to rid clutter from my life and I have been pretty successful. Whatever I don't get rid of at the Garage Sale I will offer on Freecycle. The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 4,777 groups with 7,093,000 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free. It is a great group of people and it makes me feel good to know they are being used. Check it out if you have a chance. Until next time...
XOXOX,
P.S. Holy shamolians! I have almost 100 followers! I think I need to do a giveaway to celebrate! Stay tuned...

Well, we're all following for good reason. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the garage sale! I've always found that de-cluttering makes me feel so much better. Losing all the stuff we need is just like losing all the weight we don't need: it's tough, but you know you're going to feel better when it's over.
Good luck at the garage sale!
ReplyDeleteFreecycle seems really cool! And 100 followers is awesome! I don't think I'll ever reach that, LoL.
ReplyDeleteI love going to garage sales. We go every Saturday and find the best stuff. We have one once a year to get rid of the stuff we don't need anymore!
ReplyDeleteGlad you feel better!
ReplyDeleteDecluttering is so liberating. I need to do my closets, I just don't get around to it.
We don't have Freecycle in my small town, but I donate everything to the Epilepsy Foundation.
I have been following your blog for a while but haven't officially signed on so...I have put you closer to the 100 mark. Keep up the good work! I know how hard it is. I have lost 44 lbs since January, hoping hit the 45 lb mark at my weigh in tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Desiree! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
ReplyDeleteAt a nursing home today, I passed an old lady with a pedometer...she had 6,000 steps on it today! Incredible you guys with the steps!
ReplyDeleteI applaude you for getting rid of the clutter. It is so liberating.
ReplyDeleteI am in a super frenzy to get rid of excess too. I had a garage sale in June. My better stuff I will put on Ebay to earn some extra cash. I am enjoying that my son is getting a little older and there are not toys everywhere anymore.
I also go gargage sailing to get stuff every weekend but I'm taking some weeks off on that.
I love the reward list you have "smilestone treats" That's great.
