Happy Dance!

Join me doing a happy dance! I am down 1.25 lbs. this week which makes it 30.25 lbs. total!!! I am just thrilled to hit that landmark number. It means I am a 1/4 of the way to my goal. By the way I have had something on my mind lately... How personal can/should my posts be? I know it is MY blog and I can post what I want but I don't want to be distasteful or offensive. I was talking to one of my friends that does not read my blog and telling her I mentioned something about female hormones on my post and she was horrified. Now granted at that point I only had a few followers and one man (Mike) so it didn't seem odd to me but now that there is a mix of folks reading do I need to "edit" my posts? One thing I have seen on a few blogs is a warning when the conversation turns girlie... Not a bad idea... Please give me your feedback okay? Until next time...
Sidenote: Apex is updating the site AGAIN so I will post but won't have screenshots over the weekend.

  1. If I took out the distasteful, offensive or way-too-personal stuff off my blog, there's be nothing left but an empty pasture. I say let it all hang out!

  2. Be real. People read for that. You may help others who are suffering with ideas. Or in my case, others may help.

I write what I want on my blog. I know sometimes it's TMI, but people still read, I get ideas and help, I get it all out of my system, and a blog friend said that I am nothing but honest.

I think there is a fine line about being gross. I know I was floored when my MIL told my FIL's neurosurgeon that he bled a little from a small wound and "it looked like he had a period all over his bed" to being honest about hormones. MIL was gross with her analogy, but talking about hormones and stuff isn't. It's normal stuff. Im my opinion.

    And now,

CONGRATS!!! You are doing fantastic! 1/4 of the way there, a 30 1/4 pounds gone forever--woo hoo! Doing the happy dance for you!

  3. Congrats!!! That is so great - 1/4 of the way there, whoo-hoo!
I say write what you want - its your blog. If someone doesn't like it, then they'll stop reading, you know?

  4. Awesome!! Way to go. My opinion is that you should blog about whatever you want to blog about. You're doing this for you. If people find it interesting and want to read it, great. If they don't, they don't have to.

I wanted to bring up one thing. I would highly recommend buying some new clothes before you lose 100 pounds. By that point your clothes will hanging off of you. Besides, being able to buy new clothes in smaller sizes is incredibly motivating. If you can't afford to buy a lot of them, at least tried to buy a few things that fit as your weight goes down. It will also get you lots of compliments, which is an awesome feeling, too.

    Keep up the good work.

  5. Hi! In my opinion, I think you should be as personal as you want. Its your blog, and if we don't like what you write, we have the choice to not read it. I've never been offended by what you write.

Way to go on the loss!

  6. I always love reading blogs that are totally honest and real . It makes you feel like you really know the person who is writing it . I think you should blog about anything you feel like blogging about. And who knows ... your honesty may help someone dealing with the same issues , and thought they were the only one dealing with it !

  7. Great job on the loss, and who cares about what you write? It's your blog and you can put up whatever you want on it! That's what makes it about you, right?
