Pseudo Thursday

Did fine at the Outback. I had the Ahi as planned plus a salad and baked potato. It as delish of course! As I tell my mom, I have never met a spud I did not like.

Now that I have made some progress on this journey, I have been looking towards more smilestones like getting to 100 lbs. lost and getting to goal. At this point, I can only conceptualize the 100 lbs. lost. I am trying to visualize myself at goal but I am not able to do that yet. At my current rate of loss (1.3 lbs.) I could feasibly lose 70 lbs. by year end and then 100 lbs. by April. My father died on April 12th ('99) so I am going to make it a goal to reach that smilestone by April 12th, 2010.

I had another cool NSV yesterday. My mom bought me a holiday sweater last year and it was too snug. I never even took off the tags! Well I put it on last night and it looked great! It is a glittery red sweater and will be perfect for our luncheon for work on December 23rd at Maggiano's.

One thing I really really need to do though is get new bras and panties! None of my undies fit anymore and the bras look like h-e-double toothpicks! Maybe I can find some on sale over the weekend. I have to be in the mood to shop for bras if you know what I mean. Until next time...

  1. Good fitting bra's and panties make such a difference ...and as one loses the weight you can buy the one's one can only look at and then hang it back on the shelf...I used to wear 38H so all my bra's were huge and not very pretty.

  2. Some things just need to fit properly - undies are a good place to start so treat yourself, you're worth it!

  4. congrats on getting into that sweater, you'll enjoy wearing it to the upcoming festivities!

My husband keeps telling me over and over to go buy new bras/panties. I told him I have to focus on the clothes on the outside right now. No one knows my undies are too big, but they can see my pants falling off! - LOL

  5. I swear, every time I get a new bra it takes 10 pounds off how I look - run, do not walk, to get you some new, well-fitting bras, missy!

P.S. Nice on the holiday sweater fitting - how exciting to have something new to wear!

  11. Hey, girl. You're doing great! Get out there and get new bras even though shopping for them is a special form of h*ll--it'll be SO worth it!

  12. Aaargghh! Don't talk to me about bras! Before I got pregnant I was a 38E and at my slimmest, a 38DD. I went up a few cup sizes with the pregnancy and even though I've lost a fair bit of weight, my boobs show no sign of going back to how they were... I'm currently a UK size 40G/US size 40I and getting pretty-but-supportive bras that don't cost the earth is a nightmare!

I can't imagine I will ever fit into a 38DD/E again so I've given those away. Every 20lbs or so I'm having to shell out for several new bras!

  13. I know what you mean about having trouble seeing yourself at goal. But, you are doing so well, and you will get there!
Go get yourself some new "unmentionables"! I always feel like that is a great NSV - when your undies are droopy, then you KNOW you've lost a lot of weight!
    Have a great holiday!
