One of these days, I need to write a post about going to weight loss camps as a kid. I went to two of them. One at 13 years old and then again at 16. It is an interesting story and I had pretty much pushed it to the back of my brain (bad teenage years) but think it would be a relevant story now. Stay tuned for that.

I know it is going to be a very emotional weekend. As of late, when I have been getting stressed or overwhelmed it is making me NOT eat which has it's benefits but I can't do it being diabetic because my blood sugar dips too low. I will do the best to take care of myself though. Hope you are having a pleasant weekend. Until next time...

  1. I'm sitting here totally gobmacked, I cant believe how alike we are in what we like and dislike, I could have written this myself..
Besides the American shops and sweets the normal stuff is ME...
    Scary Katie.

  2. I love Five People You Meet In Heaven! :o) Have you read Tuesdays With Morrie and For One More Day? Love those too!

  3. Cool to get to learn more about you!

  4. Love Mitch Albom...his latest is really good too. Have A Little was awesome.

I enjoyed getting to know you a little better.

Hope you make it throught the weekend. You will, I have not doubt. Take care!

  5. Ensure you eat every meal you need to, Katie!

I look forward to your memories of the weight loss camp posts and your reflections of them as an adult.

  6. Take care of yourself Katie! I hope the weekend is less stressful than you are expecting.

  7. It's always nice getting to know someone better. I loved the book "Five people You Meet in Heaven". It was an interesting and often heartbreaking story, wasn't it?

You sound a little low right now. I hope that you will consider you health and how important it is to take care of Katie. All the best.

  8. love the survey! i might steal it for a later post hehe :-) and a HELL YEAH to peppermint bark, coffee, and being a night person!

(also when I watched seven pounds it was the night before i went to a friend's wedding and at the wedding my eyes were super puffy from all the crying during the movie. yeesh!)

take care, katie. hope the weekend ends on good notes. keep writing to us :-)

  9. Please do take care of you, Katie!!! I also loved Five People. I read it the first time on a Greyhound when I was in the process of moving about 6 months after my mom passed. When I got off the bus the tears were just streaming down my face! And I loved this post so much I'm copying you :)

  10. Five People was great! If you liked that & would like an inspirational Christmas book - try The Christmas Jar. Very short book but it makes an impact. :)

    Coffee & Almond Joy...Mmmmmm

    Have a great week!

  11. I love these and havent done one in EONS.
    I have the meme-itch now :)

I'd love to know what's on your mind...
