Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was decent for the most part. I did not go to the birthday party. Just wasn't feeling it. I hung out and watched the Ugly Truth and spent time with Dave. Sunday I went to church, went to my mom's and then came home in the afternoon.
Some of the neighbors have been commenting about bug problems and remember when I thought I had been bitten by baby spiders? Well they could be bedbugs!! I am sooooo grossed out. Our couch had a bunch on it so it being thrown out today. It was given to us so I am not heartbroken about it but... Our bed has a protective barrier so they can't get it but I am freaking out. Then, I saw a cockroach last night before we went to bed! Ewwwwww! I had the worse time trying to sleep after all that so I am draggin arse today. Then to top things off I have a fever blister the size of Montana on my upper lip. It looks like someone punched me in the mouth. I am using Abreva on it so hope it goes away fast.
We will most likely be moving and breaking our lease. Not that there is ever a good time to move but I am dog sitting for a week and going on the cruise next month so it really is not the ideal time to relocate. Aside from the bug issue, there is a noise issue which I have talked about before. There are some pretty unsavory characters hanging out sometimes and the police are out on a weekly basis and know exactly what is going on. I will get legal advice but I believe we have grounds to terminate our lease.
My eating has been good and bad. The heat and stress doesn't help. When I couldn't sleep we ran to 7-11 and I got chocolate milk and cookies and it was midnight? What the heck? I haven't done that in a longggg time but I rationalized it by thinking it would help me sleep. Bad... bad... bad... but today is a new day. Until next time...
Wow...that really sucks. Last night, I felt "something" tickle my knee and it wasn't my wife. It wouldn't be the first time a creepy crawly (the last time was a centipede!) was found in the bed with us. Considering my wife and I found a small scorpion in her hiking pants a week ago, I'm a bit on the creepified edge.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to a more comfortable abode.
Each day is a new beginning, KJ! I hope the midnight snack did help you catch some z's!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hate all kinds of bugs - insects of any variety. Even good ones. But bed bugs - ugh! You have mentioned the neighbors and other unsavory aspects of your living arrangement. I hope you're able to find something more peaceful.
yuck, I hate creepy crawly critters, so I feel your pain. I hope that everything works out for you the way you want it too.
ReplyDeleteUGH We are fighting bedbugs right now. They are keeping me up at night in fear!
ReplyDeleteBe careful about moving. Bedbugs hide really well and you might end up just taking them with you.
Good luck!
Yuck, hope you can move soon! For the fever blister, if you like buttermilk, drink a couple glasses and it will help it go away. That may be an old wives tale, but it does work!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, I don't even know what a bed bug is!!! How scary! I've seen creep crawlies every once in awhile but I freak out if they are in my bed!! I have the jitters just writing about them, yuck!
ReplyDeleteYou really need to move. That place sounds like a disaster. Fingers crossed you can get out of the lease no issues. I sure have been reading a lot on bed bugs lately. I wouldn't be able to sleep either.
ReplyDeleteYeesh! Hope you can move away from the creepy crawlies soon!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness - you DO need to move. I cannot wait until you find a more peaceful place...
ReplyDelete1. I get the lip issue... I have a huge pimple on mine right now, hate that!
ReplyDelete2. LOVE your blog header!
3. Thank you SO much for the comment you left on Jewlia's blog about my photography. You made my day!

Bed bugs.... that would be - what's the word.....?
ReplyDeleteYuk!
And hugs.....if only from a distance!
:)
lol!
I would be moving out of there as fast as possible, too!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! It looks like I've missed a lot here in furniture heaven! Ewwww. I wouldn't have been able to sleep either! Chocolate and cookies--sounds like comfort to me. Uh-hmmm. But, then, that kind of comfort got me to 252 pounds--so ignore that. chuckle.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading these posts in the order they were written, so I'll get the next installment now.
