Monday Mix it Up

Hello everyone! Hope you had a good weekend! Mine was up and down but it was okay. First things first, I wanted to announce the giveaway of Chocolate Sprinkles The winner is Susie at Chabby Chic Mom Congrats Susie! I have some more giveaways planned so stay tuned for that.

I used my crock pot to make our dinner meals this weekend. On Saturday, I made a roast and slow cooked it all day. It was super yummy and moist. I am not a big fan of cooked carrots with potatoes so I just cut myself some meat and enjoyed it like that.

On Sunday, I made homemade chicken soup. Man, did it smell good while it was cooking. It turned out good too (according to Dave) but I had issues with it (parts) so I just made myself a grilled cheese. It really was a grazy, lazy weekend. Too much eating and not enough moving. The good news is that I went to bed around 8:30 p.m. last night and woke up rested this morning.

This is a tap light that I got at Dollar Tree.  Do you guys have Dollar Tree where you are? I had never been to one and they are fairly new to our area. Holy cow is it a cool store!!! I kept walking around asking my friend "Is it really only $1?" I have been trying to come up with a solution to the dark, coat closet in our hallway. I have tried other tap lights and other adhesives but they did not stick but this seemed to work. I just hung them up with a nail and they seem to work great.

I am looking forward to it being a new month tomorrow. This has been a pretty funkified month if you ask me. Good thing it was a short month! LOL! Until next time...

  1. I'm with you - February is funky and not necessarily in a good way lol! Hurray for Marching into March!

  2. I love the Dollar Tree!!!! I'm continually amazed at what you can buy for $1. I don't have a crock pot but am working on getting one. YUM! I love this blog for recipes:

  3. I love Dollar Tree! We've had them around as long as I can remember (I'm 28) and they have always been awesome!

  4. Agree with you on Funky February - let's move onto Marvelous March!

We have Dollar Trees here in Texas and I think they're the best dollar stores, by far.

  5. Wow, isn't Susie lucky! It couldn't have gone to a nicer girl.

  6. Crockpots are the bestest tool ever made for cooking things! Maybe even above fire...

  7. We have Dollar Tree's EVERYWHERE. Gotta go in at least once a week just to wander around.

I'd love to know what's on your mind...
