How was your weekend? Hope it was good! Mine was pretty good. I decided to do some ceramic painting. I have been wanting to do a project for quite awhile but after the last
mishap I have been hesitant to spend the money and haven't made the time to do it. My first project was some sauce dishes. The translation is "
to eat" on the left and "
small" on the right.

You can trace your design with pencil. It burns off when fired |

Here is "small" painted |

Here they are completed |
I went to Michael's to get a small paintbrush and decided to get some supplies to make earrings. At one time, I did want to sell them but discovered that as I have gotten older, it is harder to see to make them so I just make them for myself on occasion. Here is the pair I am wearing today.

As for eating over the weekend, I overate on Saturday. I had extra servings of snacks that I certainly did not need. Blergh... Sunday, I did better and got a little activity in with my Wii buddy Tony. We bike raced and I won 2/3. Men (sorry guys!) can be such wusses when it comes to playing against a woman. Dave admitted that one of the reasons he does not want to play Wii with me is because he doesn't want to lose! Bwhahahaha! I am not THAT good to begin with and have only gotten better with practice but sheesh! I thought it was a lame excuse! LOL!
Not sure what is on the agenda tonight. I want to get a bike ride in but it might rain. Tony and I put air in my bike tires so I am all ready to go otherwise. Until next time...
Nice plates. They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the little dishes! I have a small obsession with "little" bowls, plates, etc. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented. I tried to make earrings once but couldn't twist the wire pins small enough. We shall not speak of any painting I've attempted. Needless to say, I APPRECIATE art but don't create it like you do. :)
ReplyDeleteThe plates are really cute, Katie. You are definitely artistic, aren't you?
ReplyDeleteIs that a new blog signature I see or am I losing it?
I used to love painting ceramics. I was not as talented as you are by a long shot! Love the "Eatsmall" message. :) Deb
ReplyDeleteI love the plates. they really turned out nice. have a great week Katie, take care.
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I used to love going to those ceramic places when she was little - so pretty!
