Slimmer This Summer - Week 2 Results

Here is my update for the challenge:
  • Weight: I gained 2 lbs. this week. Back to 250. I am not surprised...
  • Measurements: I did not take measurements
  • Water Consumption: I failed at water this week.
  • Activities: I did not try a new class. I did not get 10K per day.
Last week was a major fail for the Challenge. I was doing some stress/emotional eating plus minimal activity = weight gain. It sucks but there is not a whole bunch I can do now. I just need to suck it up and keep on keeping on right?

Chicken Kabobs

This is the dinner I made last night for Dave. I served it with rice and it was delicious.  I just love those skewers too. I got them at Big Lots but never found them again.  They work great on my little bbq because it is small and round.

Tonight I am going to get glamorized. I am getting my hair colored, a mani and a pedi! Woowoo! I am going to do my best this week. Since tomorrow is my birthday there may be some celebrating going on so I will make good choices and not overindulge. I do plan on splitting a piece of cheesecake with Dave at the Cheesecake Factory tomorrow night.

I have a giveaway planned and I will announce it tomorrow. Until next time...

  4. I feel you. Sometimes life just gets hold of the scruff of our neck and hangs on. I love and admire your strength and determination to hang in, keep going and not quit. Sometimes, the hardest thing is to not quit.

Those skewers are too cute for colour TV. I want some. I'll have to check out my Big Lots and see if there are any there. :D

    Mmmm... Cheesecake... *drool*

  9. Happy Birthday (early) and enjoy the pampering. I would recommend you look at these to get a sort of feel for best entree and dessert choices:

    and

Cheesecake factory is an obstacle course for dieters. I avoid them altogether To stay on/near plan, with some celebratory leeway, you're gonna have to be mighty wise at checking the local menu out before heading there. (I do that anyway for restaurants..read and decide BEFORE I go.) Splitting a 1300 or more calories dessert is stilll...700 calories. Yowza!

Take pics when you're all dolled up!

  18. Sorry you had a bad week. Make smaller daily goals that are achievable. Reaching those goals will boost your confidence to keep doing the right thing. In the end, there's no great reward than having our lives back, right? You're going to do great!
