Whims and Lashes

Had a fun weekend and hope you did too. I did my laser hair removal as planned. Note to self: Do not schedule for 1st thing in the morning. Sheesh! It hurt more then I remembered but since it was a small area, it was tolerable. I have to do it once a month for 6 months moving forward. When I was leaving, the Dr. said I should do Botox so I don't look so angry. Oh, thanks Doc, did not know I was angry looking! He is not completely off base though because I have thought of doing it but it is rather cost prohibitive but he said he could do it for $250. I am still thinking about it.... Would you do Botox?

Then I was off to do my eyes. She waxed and colored my eyebrows and tinted my eyelashes. I should have taken a before picture but I forgot. Here is the after though. I do not have mascara on. Just a neutral eye color for a little shimmer. How cool is that?

The results last for 6-8 weeks.  I am really pleased with the results and plan on doing it again for sure. It is also nice to not see grey eyebrows lol!

Dinner at Olive Garden was pretty good. I did not eat all day in preparation of the extra calories. I originally thought I would get Salmon but ended ordering the Eggplant Parmesean. It was pretty tasty. I ate two breadsticks but could have had 10! Had a berries and sorbet for dessert. I mentioned that I wanted to see Madagascar 3 and that I was willing to go it alone but my brother said he and mom could come with so that's what we did yesterday. I like to move it move it! I like to move it move it!

It is fairly obvious that I am impulsive shopper. Well, I was poking around the QVC app on my phone and I found these shoes and decided to order them thinking they were cute and functional.

Little did I know, they are SUPER comfortable and help with posture and support of your feet AND are cute to boot <---- shoe humor! I was so thrilled with them that I ordered another pair in Gold. They are not cheap but I think they are worth the expense to help protect my feet.

Tonight I am going to get a facial. I scheduled this months ago (Living Social) and had almost forgotten about it until I got the confirmation call. I think I will have sushi for dinner. Since I am going to be out already. Maybe I'll call a friend and see if they'll come with. Until next time...

  1. I don't think you look angry at all! Your smile lights up your face :)

The lashes look gorgeous :) I have quite long lashes but they are so light, it looks like I have none.

  2. The result looks great! How nice not to have to wear mascara. I may try it.

  3. That is too cool! How much did the lash tinting cost?

  4. Nice to know about it! So cool of you!

  5. I agree with the others. The tinted lashes look great. I am fortunate enough to have very dark and longish lashes by nature, but this tinting is a nice alternative to mascara.

As for the botox, personally I wouldn't go that way. It is still a toxin that is injected into your face and no idea what the long term consequences could be (think 10 years from now). Moreover, if the toxin paralyses your muscles (and reduced wrinkles etc), it also changes your facial expression. And I don't think you look angry at all (based on the pics on your blog). I think he might just have tried to sell you an expensive treatment. Just my 2 cents :o)

  6. I totally agree with Ingrid, I for one wouldn't like to put something toxic in me. Whenever I hear about botox I instantly see Pricilla Presley on DWTS, now I know that something else was used on her but..... As for your lashes they look great and I think that Doc was trying too hard to sell to ya.....Glad to hear that you had a good time with your family...enjoy your new shoes...cute....

  7. Nice brows, lady.

As for the Olive Garden breadsticks...omg...I could eat a million of 'em. I have to stay away from O.G. I haven't been there in...omg...forever. I love their alfredo sauce, too. It's dangerous when I go. So...I must stay away. :( My control blows. Haha!

I'd love to know what's on your mind...
