Things are FINALLY starting to settle down. My mom came home for the rehab facility yesterday. It's been over two months since she had been there. I had not been there either. I have the neighbor bring the mail in and the caregiver was bringing me the mail. I know it may sound kooky but I don't like being there when there is no one there. She lives in an extremely safe neighborhood so it's not that. It just creeps me out even though it is the house I grew up in.
My brother is coming out for the weekend too which was spontaneous but great. We have not been together for a Christmas in at least 10 years. My SIL is Jewish so they don't really celebrate Christmas.
I am on Winter break from work. Today I am actually covering for the office for their Christmas lunch. It is the 1st time I have been in the office since August. No one is here so it is fine but just a little odd to be here.
My mom has always said "Better days are coming" after something has happened so I am going to focus on that. It's all we can do is hope for the best right?
I could not do a post without including my handsome little man. I made this my Christmas card this year too. Isn't he adorable??? I just can't get over how cute he is. He is like 8 months old now and getting bigger every day. It takes them at least a year to be full grown so he will continue to sprout for a few more months.
My weight is stable. I gained 3 lbs. while I was off of work (sick/FMLA) but since things have settled down a bit, I can focus on my health again. Still getting 10-12K steps in a day at work.
