I bought a new bike on August 18th. My moms house sold that day as well. Well, I was riding my new bike to D's house and half a block away from the bike shop I crashed the bike and broke my left wrist, sprained my right and smashed my face up. Mary Graceful as my mom would say. I'm off work until after I get my cast off which is Sept. 13th. Life has been kicking my ass that is all I can say. I will survive though. I have hope and faith.
I hope to be blogging regularly again soon. Love and miss you all. xoxo
Oh Katie!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs. I've missed you!
ow ow ow! Crashing stinks and I had one recently too so I can really relate to the pain, frustration and for me, I felt so stupid! (hope you didn't). Best wishes for a quick recovery!!! Love the pink wrap they added to your cast to make it seem a little less clinical.
ReplyDeleteHope you get to feeling better. Http://tiffanysfitfight.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful bike. Hope you were wearing a helmet! Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Katie, how awful! Now you are having to heal on the outside as well as the inside. Take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteOuch! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteLife has a way of messing up our good intentions doesn't it!!! Hang in there! You sound positive and that is good! Keep up the positive attitude please - it's addictive!
ReplyDeleteOUCH! But looking on the positive side (there has to be one!)... it's a pretty pink cast. *:smiles*
ReplyDeleteI just read this and I know a bike accident is very painful. I crashed my bike three years ago. I also broke my wrist and had a cast on for three months. It was MISERABLE! I'm so glad you only had to wear yours for a month. Hopefully you have it off now and are doing better (since this was a month ago. Funny, my first cast was fluorescent pink too. :) My second one was purple and my last one was blue (yes, I had three - they changed it every month). Take care!
ReplyDeleteDid you take the cast off?Hope you feel better and dont have any pain.
