Turbulent Times

Had a good deficit yesterday. I think that is the first time since setting up my new mini-goal that I achieved the target calorie burn. I didn't work out but just a lot of walking around I guess. I went to Fish Market with mom last night because the Rosary is tonight. Tomorrow I will pick Dave up at 10:00 a.m. and then he has to be back at 4:00 p.m. It will be good to see him but not under these circumstances. Once I come back from my trip, he will be able to get outside passes and attend church and meetings. I think friends and family members can go there and have a meal with them also. He says the food is not bad... could be jail food so I guess that's something.

I am getting super excited about Alaska in light of everything... Only 3 more days!!! I am going to see if I can blog from my phone. I did it a long time ago but need to refresh my memory. I won't be able to upload my data but will be able to track my calories burned and activity through the digital display watch. Hopefully I can post pictures of our various shore excursions. Here is our itinerary:

7/19: Leave Seattle
7/20: Cruising
7/21: Ketchikan
7/22: Juneau
7/23: Skagway
7/24: Cruising
7/25: Victoria B.C.
7/26: Arrive in Seattle

I wanted to also thank everyone who commented yesterday about my quitting smoking. I took all of your comments to heart. I may chain smoke like a mad dog until Saturday but hopefully it will be the last time ever. Until next time...

  4. I hope you love Alaska! I did a similar trip a few years back. It was awesome.

I am so excited to see your dedication - 27 weeks! I have never committed that long. I'm closing in on week two. I hope I can stick with it until I am done.
