Wanderlust Wednesday

Well today would be my normal weigh day but I have decided to forgo weighing in this week. I forgot to take my meds yesterday, TOM is in town and with the move and all I will just wait until next week.

My mom and I went to Fish Market but I didn't eat much. We found out that her MRI showed signs of Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIA) or mini-strokes. This would be one of the reasons why she is having memory issues. She had a triple bypass and valve repair two years ago and my assumption is that they occurred during that time. That is when I started noticing behavior changes. Dr. G is going to call her today with more details. She also wants to know if it is okay to travel so she can book our cruise to the Mexican Riviera. *Big Sigh*

I was so hoping to celebrate your loss with you on your blog today...will have to wait for next week then.

  2. Looking forward to learning of your progress next week!

  3. Good luck with your mom, my mom has been having TIA's for about 2 years, but lately they have been scarce.

Oh and loved opening the mail today, the book was here and I can not wait to start reading it! Thanks again!

  4. Hi Katie,
Funny how our relationships change. Every time my dad puts on his hockey skates a little part of me wishes I could put him in a cage! But the reason they are with us is because of these passions...
Thanks for following my other blog, it means a lot to me.
    See your progress next week.
    Try to stay calm!

  5. Awe Katie, sorry to hear about your mom. I hope you get some answers from the doctor soon (and I sure hope she can still go on the trip with you!).
    Hang in there!!!

  6. ahhhh the tenterhooks!! you will show a good loss next week i am sure.

sorry about your moms diagnosis, but at least they are MINI ones. and the world of medicine is a marvellous thing these days.

  7. Gosh! I hope your Mom's okay! Strokes are so scary!

  8. Hi Katie - so sorry to hear about your mom's diagnosis. I will keep you both in my prayers. I hope the packing is going well. Moving is one of life's most stressful things. Hang in there. I bet next week you will show a nice loss.

  9. Sending out good thoughts for your Mom. Be sure to take care of yourself.

  10. At least they are just little strokes. Hopefully she'll be able to travel.

Hope you are all moved in.

  11. Thanks for the website. I tried it out, and that's pretty cool! :-)

  12. I'm sorry your mom is having health issues, I know the stress and fretting that go hand in hand with that. I really hope you guys get to take your cruise, I'm rooting for you!

I'd love to know what's on your mind...
