Are you wearing Red?

Did fine on food yesterday. I did not meet my mom last night. The new fridge got delivered and it is beautiful! Mom and I be meeting for lunch today. She likes going to Carrow's which is right down the street from my work. I ended up going to Sizzler with Danielle for dinner . I had Malibu Chicken and Shrimp. I did not eat all the shrimp and only had a few bites of the baked potato. I used to be able to eat all the shrimp and then some but not anymore.

Are you wearing Red today? I am!! Today is National Wear Red day. From their website: Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts — everyday women are dying at the rate of almost one per minute. Speak up. Make a difference. Show your support for the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red. It’s an easy, powerful way to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and stroke. If you aren't wearing red today you can still help by raising awareness and doing your own Wear Red day at work or school. Their website has all sorts of tools to help you. Please check it out when you have a chance.

Not sure what the plan is for the weekend. The Can't Say will have a spread for Superbowl including Tri-tip and all the fixings. I could give a rat's patootie about the game so I am not sure I will even go down there. I am hoping the sun will be out so I can get outside. I definitely need to get some EXERCISE! I also have a few movies I want to watch including Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants II. Hope you have a great day and weekend! Until next time...

  1. I know that my tummy is shrinking back and I am getting more full more quickly. I just need to get my mindset behind leaving food behind.

Since I'm a calorie counter, when I know how many calories something is, I feel I need to eat all of it so my count is correct. I know I know...messed up.

Luckily, I haven't stuffed myself in the name of calorie counting, but I can now tell that I'm filling up quicker!

  6. I'm wearing Red today Katie! We are not allowed to "dress down" at my job but for Go Red, we give a donation and get to wear dressy jeans and a red shirt. I would wear red and donate anyway, I think it's a great cause.

  7. Way to go with not O-D-ing on the food at Sizzler. That kind of food can taste so good it's hard for me to stop even when I'm full! Hope you get to see your movies - I just got a stack for the snow days.

  8. I agree, good job at Sizzler. That's a major danger zone for me, Sizzler! :-O

In the "old days" I could go there and we would order dinners AND the salad bar, and eat till stuffed! Had to "get our money's worth" from that all-you-can-eat salad bar, right?! Just one of many messed-up mindsets that I have been changing.

  16. Yesterday was actually the first I had heard about "Wear Red Day". What a wonderful idea! :)

I don't watch the Superbowl either. Sister Hood of the Travelling Pants 2 and Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs are both really good movies!
