How was your weekend? Hope you had a good one! I had a nice one. Saturday's visit with my mom went okay. As I imagined it was very surfacey and it turned out fine. Sunday we had a nice day as well. It was Lisa's (Dave's daughter) birthday so we went to Round Table and had lunch with her. I had a salad and I did have two of the Parmesan bread sticks. I made my very first roast in my crock pot! It was a recipe out of the Crock Pot book but I made some adjustments but it came out delicious! It was so tender it just melted in your mouth. There is quite a bit left so we are going to use it for tacos this week and I would like to give some to HG.
The Hot 100 Challenge is keeping me motivated and I am diggin it!!! By the way, it is not too late to enter although you MUST enter by Friday, October 1st at the latest. It has been a long time since I felt this kind of motivation. As I have mentioned before, I think the fact that I took the time to process the "internal" reasons for my obesity, that I am much more likely to be successful because I never took the time or effort to do that before. I am also glad that I have maintained my weight loss during that time as well.
The weather here is just plain weird. We are going to be in the upper 90s low 100s today which is about 25 degrees warmer then normal. I am uber grateful that I work in an air conditioned office. It is nice to have it be warm in the evening for our walk but I can bundle too LOL! Here's to having a good week ladies and gents! Until next time...
P.S. I did some "freshening up" around the blog. What do you think?
Wow! You must live in a very warm area. Glad to hear your weekend went well! Mine was so-so, but at least I stayed on plan. The Hot 100 is motivating me to get back on the road to good health.
ReplyDeleteI heard you were getting Texas weather - and we have your weather, as it's only supposed to get to 78 degrees today - woot!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing you so excited about the Hot 100 challenge - and I'm looking forward to following your progress!
I love your positive attitude, Katie! I have no doubt you'll totally rock that Challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are motivated I have to go check out this challenge-you are just great Katie~
ReplyDeleteThat heat is killer! We had 90s and humidity last week, and I was starting to take it personally. Fall cannot get here quick enough.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're doing the Hot 100! It's keeping me pumped up as well. Don't you love roasts in the crockpot? You remind me I should get mine out and throw something in!
Our weather is weird these days, too. Although it tends to be this way in teh fall. so, I guess that means it's normal. :)
ReplyDeleteTwo days ago, it was 90 degrees. Today our high is supposed to be 65. sigh. Pittsburgh is one of those places that supports the cliche, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute and it will change." chuckle.
The Hot 100 has lit my fire, too! I'm so gald--I was starting to get scared...
We're gonna burn it up!
Deb
We had that crazy warm weather here Saturday but now it's raining all week and the big cool down is on the way. I love summer though so I was glad for one more day.
