Bad Bugs & Boobs

I did not go to the gym but that is no surprise to anyone. I waited for Dave to get home and then we went across the street to get a new box spring becasue we found #%^* bedbugs again. When we went through this the first time, we covered the matress with a special cover ($100+) but did not get one for the box spring. Lesson learned. It looks like we got rid of them this time (hopefully) with a combination of washing and drying TONS of clothes and spraying. They can survive a year without food! They are evil little buggers and I would not wish them on my worst enemy. Well maybe my worst one... just kidding. Meanwhile, we have been sleeping in the front room but I have not been using my CPAP machine and I can totally tell the difference in sleep quality. I am getting crankier by the day! As much as I hate that damn thing it really does help me get the proper rest I need.

After we purchased the box spring, I was hungry so I asked Dave to go through Jack in the Box. I got a Turkey Bacon and Chedder sandwich, Small fries, Small Coke and cheesecake. I could count on one hand the times I have had junk food in the last 2 years but I just said "Screw it!" After I ate, I felt like crap and even this morning my belly is upset. The total for the meal was more then I eat for a whole day: 1,534 calories. Yikes! No wonder I got up to 315 lbs. eating meals like that. It will be a LONG time before I do that again (if ever!)

Tonight I am going to get my mammogram done after work at 6:00 p.m. Remember it is Breast Cancer Awarness Month and if you have not gotten your mammogram done I urge you to please make an appt. Early detection definitely saves lives. Hope you are all having a good week. Until next time...

  2. They are pesky little buggers aren't they? Make sure you guys check your furniture too because they'll hop a ride on your clothes from the bed to the sofa.

Oy, I feel you on the too high calorie meal. I'm sure most of us have done that one time or another.

    Hang in there Katie.

  3. Ah, fast food is evil...Though delicious sometimes. I made a new resolution to myself, since I turned 28 yesterday...No more drive thrus or fast food for me :) I really dislike the way that it makes me feel. Even the Fresco menu from Taco Bell, which is their "healthier" alternative makes me feel crappy.

Also, sorry about the bed buggies. How do you get those? :/

  6. I've found that little treats are way more calories than I ever thought. Like those little frosted soft cookies from the grocery store that I used to eat two or three at a time? Are 140 calories. Each. I almost died in the store but I said the same thing to my husband...no wonder I got so fat eating things like that!

  7. I noticed without my cpap machine my sleep is horrible as well. I got a burger from Carl's Jr a few weeks ago and only had half and felt crappy for three days afterward.

  8. I ate a Whopper last week. It was gross and so was I after I ate it. I hadn't had a hambuger of any kind for almost 2 years myself. Yep, I know how I got to be 281 too. The only good about the Whopper was the fast part. Otherwise, it sucked.

    Sleep well......icky damn bugs.

  10. Wowza, I haven't ever tallied the calories on the fast food meals that I used to eat, but I'll bet they were right along the lines of what you had last night. You are so right...no wonder we were so big! I haven't eaten fast food in, gosh, close to two years? What might have been a once-in-a-while indulgence went out the window once my gallbladder was removed - that high fat food makes me nauseous now. Sad, but probably good in a way, you know?

Those damn bedbugs. I sure hope they are gone for good now!
