Chilly Willy!

Had a good night last night. Dave picked up chicken tacos for me from La Paloma. I had never had them and they were tasty! Will be getting them again for sure.  We went on a brief walk around the block. I am trying to change my thinking with that. I used to think that it had to be a least a 1/2 hour or nothing and that is just not the case. As long as you are out there moving, it is better then none at all, right? Every little bit helps.

Alexia was teasing me yesterday about it being cold in California. She joked that it was 70 degrees and cold. It has been unseasonably cold here lately and I am just not used to it. It has been in the upper 40s during the day when it is normally in the 60s. It gets below freezing at night. I am not being a wuss, I am just saying. What has also changed is my tolerance for temperatures. When I was at my heaviest I ran warm/hot all the time. I barely wore a jacket in the winter. Now I am sensitive to it. I have scarves, mittens, hats and now ear muffs to help me through. Until next time...

P.S. I am planning a Giveaway soon so stay tuned!

  1. OK, those ARE cold temps for your area! Bundle up - I know the feeling of not being able to get warm...it's not fun.

I love that you are making it a habit of moving every day. You are right - no need to set time limits; just moving is great!

  2. Every little bit does help!! And it all adds up! So 5 mins here... 5 mins there... and 15 mins over there... you are already at 25 mins!! You keep it up lady jane!! you are doing great!! And like Shelley said, bundle up!!

  3. It's great that you're changing your thinking about that. Every little bit does count!

  4. Just this morning I heard something on the news about getting your exercise in during the holidays. What they said? Just keep moving. Every little bit adds up!

40s is chilly, I don't care where you live. Even 70 can feel chilly if you're used to it always being 90, right?

  5. Yep, every little movement helps!

My brother texted me from his daughters high school football game - he lives in Austin and his daughters are in the half time show - he texted me a picture and they were all bundled up because it was 48 degrees - I sat through some of my step-sons football games in the midwest where the windchill felt like zero!

Hang in there and bundle up! :D

  6. I feel the cold when I'm fat or thin!

  7. Its great that you are getting even a little movement. It adds up!

As a side note, I was laughing when you said it was cold, too!

  8. Come to my blog... I've got a fire going!

  9. Good for you on that exercising! I'm very proud of you! I look forward to the day when I get cold. Right now, with the weight I am, I'm constantly like a furnace. LOL

  10. It's very cold here and snowing! Bring on the Christmas snow! And then of course after Christmas it can go away... lol.

I too have been changing my ideals on exercise. I am an all-or-nothing kind of person... so I feel that if I don't spend an hour doing serious exercise then i'm not putting in the work.

I like what you said.. about moving. It makes sense to me! :)

I'd love to know what's on your mind...
