Did you know that Starbuck's just turned 40 years old!?! Starbuck's started in 1971 in Seattle but did not venture into other markets until the early 1990s. Hard for me to remember life without Starbuck's LOL! I am sipping on a cup of their Tribute blend and it is tasty stuff and only available for a limited time. I also got an Anniversary canister with the new logo. I like the new logo, personally. Back in college, I actually did a speech on the Sirens of the Sea.
Speaking of new, there is a new 24hr Super Sport near my apartment. It just opened on Saturday so I am hoping to check it out after work tonight. Until next time...
I love Starbuck's but its so expensive to get the fancier drinks - its usually a once a month treat I look forward to!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Katie!
Yep. Starbucks started it all. We currently have 6 drive-thru espresso stands in our small town, not counting the 2 delis where you can get your java hit. No Starbucks, though. Have to go about 4 miles to find one of those.
ReplyDeleteJohn Malkovich once held the door open for me at Starbucks so I could push a double stroller through.
ReplyDeleteAnd your inseam got SHORTER?
Pants. Hate shopping for them! I have to be in a very patient mood to do it. It's my waist/hip ratio. Too wide waist for my hips. And if I get the waist and hips to fit, the crotch is down near my knees! Ack. Haaate pants shopping! Deb
ReplyDeleteI hate pants for that reason. I often wish that I live in India and I can just wear those beautifully colored wrappy things that the women there wear. Oh...man...how cool would that be?!
ReplyDeleteMy pants get longer when I lose weight too :-) What happens is that there's not as much bulk to fill out the pant leg!
ReplyDeleteI had my first Starbucks experience back in 1994 in Portland, Oregon. It's been L-O-V-E ever since! New canister, you say? I must check it out!
ReplyDeleteThere's a Starbucks that's kitty-corner from the hotel so I walk past it 5 nights a week going in and 5 mornings a week going out.
ReplyDeleteAnd I walk the extra block to hit up Dunkin Donuts if I need anything.
Starbucks + Karen = Baaaaad Mojo.
I love Starbucks but only go there as a treat- I have the rewards card and I always make sure it has some money on it! :)
