Flowers

Had a fairly good day on the eating front. I must say though that I am bored with my breakfast food. I usually eat a cereal bar or cereal with a piece of fruit and yogurt or string cheese for a snack. I am not a big breakfast eater so I have to force myself to eat  most mornings.  What do you guys have for breakfast? We had mexican food for dinner and I variated from my norm and had two chicken tacos instead of my usual crab tostada. They were tasty and filled me up. No activity to speak of.

So here are the pictures of the flowers I planted over the weekend:
Celosia

Gerbera Daisies

Begonia

Speaking of flowers, someone has been putting flowers on my dad's grave and we don't know who it is! It has happened twice now. The 1st time was a few months ago and I suggested that one of my friends did it. Well we checked with her and it was not her this time so it remained a mystery... then it happened again this weekend, so my mom called and asked my friend and again she said no it wasn't her... so my mom thought maybe there was someone who was buried in the cemetary with the same last name so she is going to check with the office but she jokingly emailed us and said that he must have a secret admirer. Weird huh? He has been gone for 12 years next Tuesday April 12th. Until next time...

  2. Lucky you to be able to plant flowers now! I love daises they are my favorite flower.

That is interesting about the flowers. Perhaps it is a crazy geneologist like my Dad, who used to spend a lot of time doing research in cemetaries.

  3. I like to have an egg fried in a tad of olive oil and a half cup of brown rice. Then I put soy sauce on both - just a little, but I love it. If I am being super Kim, I have a 1/2 cup of quinoa, warmed and barely saturated with almond milk then for a snack some kind of berry.

  4. The flowers are so pretty! I can't wait to be able to do my own pots but truthfully, that's at least a month or so away for me.

Ooooooh a mystery! You'll have to let us know if you ever find out.

  6. I refuse to label specific foods for specific meals. If I want a turkey burger for breakfast I will. Pancakes for dinner? Why not? It may make eating "breakfast" a little easier if you take it out of its box and just eat a meal :)

  8. Hey Katie! Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! I'm always so amazed with all the blogs I hit or look at or read that I've yet to come across yours. There are SO MANY!! Love the flowers, can't wait till the snow is gone and I can plant. We're looking at the end of May before we're safe from frost. I love your bike and congrats on the 60 pounds so far! I'll have to lurk your blog some more to catch up!

Funny about the flowers! We had that happen with my Grandpa three times and then not again.

  9. I've never been a breakfast person, I can't stand eating as soon as I wake up, but my endo says I should eat something within an hour of waking up to keep my blood sugar steady and my metabolism running....so now that I get up at 430 every day, I am even less in the mood for food!

I have a NSA Carnation Instant Shake package with 1 cup of skim milk or unsweetened almond milk. It gets me through about 4 hours and then I have a yogurt or an apple with peanut butter to get me through to lunch.

Delicious, easy to "eat" and quick to make when I'm half asleep.
