Happy Hump Day! Nice that we are on the downhill slide for the week eh? Last night I went to Fish Market with my mom and had a Shrimp Louie. It hit really hit the spot! It was in the upper 80s so it was a good dinner to have for a warm night. I took her to the grocery store and also did her pill drill. The pill drill is what I call putting the pills she/we have to take in the weekly container. Since she has a heart condition, she takes quite a few medications and supplements. Makes mine look like diddly squat by comparison...
I went looking for a new pair of pants for work yesterday and found a pair on sale. Yay! I also found a cute flowy top 50% off. While I was browsing, I actually saw a cute dress and decided what the heck, I should try it on. I have not tried on a dress in over 15 years. It was a deep purple and had beading under the breast area. I would have taken a picture but my phone was charging at work. It was sleeveless but still pretty flattering. I don't have any occasion to wear it but I survived trying one on so that is a step closer to getting one. I would not go sleeveless though. I would wear a shrug or cardigan or something...
I am going to get my eyebrows threaded right after work. Then my plan is to go home, eat dinner and then Zumba baby! I got my DVDs in the mail yesterday so I am ready to go! Speaking of mail... I am planning another giveaway so stay tuned for that. Until next time...
I really need to jump on the Zumba bandwagon! It sounds like a lot of fun. Let me know how you like the DVD's.
ReplyDeleteYes, let me know how you like the DVD's. I'm really enjoying the class i started taking!
ReplyDeleteYay for new clothes! :)
I can't remember the last time I wore a dress or skirt either - my muffin top always seems to get in the way and it's not flattering - hooray for trying on the dress - so proud of you for trying it on - I hope you buy one soon!
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the threading - it does last a long time. :D
I like dresses over skirts for Biz's reason - it's great that you just tried one on. Oh, and I am with you on the sleeveless thing - I have short-sleeved sweaters to solve that problem. Why can't they make more dresses with sleeves? Not everyone has Michelle Obama arms! ;)
ReplyDeleteIM still working my way up to trying on a dress! I hide in my fat clothes. IM proud of my journey so far, and I dont want to discourage myself.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the dress. Yea!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm the only person that doesn't like Zumba.
I haven't tried Zumba or tried on a dress in over 10 years - you're a better woman than me. Congrats, new clothes are fun and I hope they are too big for you in a few months.... so you can shop again. ;)
ReplyDeleteI also haven't worn a dress in about 15 years and can't wait for the day that that would be possible again!
ReplyDeleteSadly, my eyebrows will have to wait until payday...
