I went and got my eyebrows threaded as planned and then went home to have dinner with Dave before he took off for his game. He made chicken with the Panko breading and we had rice and a salad to go with. It really was crunchy and I will definitely use it again and try it with fish also. I may never use "regular" bread crumbs again! LOL!
I had intended on doing the Zumba DVD but that did not happen. Instead I sat on my arse and grazed until 9:30 p.m. Must have been the full moon! It was not a binge like the "old days" but it was still more then I usually consume. Almonds, graham crackers, cheese sticks and Popsicles so it wasn't horrible but certainly not what I should have been doing. I often have great intentions on doing things and then flail when it comes to the action part of the plan. I am not going to beat myself up about it though. In the past that would have derailed me and I would have said "Screw this!" and reverted to my old behavior but I am not doing that. Today is a new day and I am back to business.
Not sure what my plan is for tonight. I KNOW I will not be doing a repeat of last night. I had thought about doing a Turbo Kick Class at the gym but this is what it said: Learn kick boxing skills choreographed to energizing music. Using no equipment, this kick boxing workout incorporates a number of upper body punches and lower body kicks. Most suitable to participants of medium to high fitness levels, but newcomers are always welcome – just let your kick boxing class instructor know. It just sounds intimidating doesn't it? I just don't know if I am ready for that. Until next time...
Hi Katie. Just thought I'd stop by and catch up. I know what you mean about having good intentions. The better the day, the more enticing the snackage is towards the evening.
ReplyDeleteDon't let the kickboing description intimidate you. Go in there and just do what you can. I have t he Billy Banks Turbo Kickboxing DVD and it's a workout but you can modify it where needed.
I recently had fish breaded in panko crumbs at my daughters and now... I'm a huge fan... Have a great day...

Turbo kick is definitely a high powered workout. But guess what? The way you get to be medium to high fitness is to do classes like this!! Don't let that description discourage you. I say go!
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake of trying whole wheat panko last night and it was disgusting. I like regular panko, and use the Progresso brand. What kind did you all use?
ReplyDeleteOh, do the Turbo Kick class! Go on...and then tell all! It sounds like fun...and glad the panko was a success!
ReplyDeleteI understand good intentions. I've sabotaged myself with them so many times. I'm determined NOT to do this anymore. That's my intention anyway...LOL
ReplyDeleteI've not tried a turbo kick class or Dvd but I have been giving it some thought. Let me know if you do it!
Keep pluggin, Katie. It's a rough road, weight loss is. Deb
ReplyDeleteLOVEEEEEEEEEEE threading.....and LOVVEEEEEEEEE you!
ReplyDeleteYou're ready! You should definitely go to the class. I absolutely love kickboxing and look forward to getting my ass kicked twice a week now. Everyone in the class goes at their own pace and intensity level. Try it, you may love it as much as I do. It makes you feel so strong.
ReplyDeleteI love panko bread crumbs, they do add more crunch! Go to the class - you don't know you may be able to keep up now! :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Katie!
I really want to have my eyebrows done again but I made a deal with myself and said I would go have it done as a reward after very 10 pounds.
