Same and Sides

Hope you all had a safe and sane 4th of July. I did not do much at all yesterday but I am okay with that. I woke up at my usual time (6:30 a.m.) and then shortly thereafter went back to sleep until almost 11:00 a.m. It was glorious! I rarely do that but it was much needed.

Spent the day with Danielle at Blinky's. I did not drink! Woot! Woot! I am proud of myself for not folding. I was actually productive while I hung out and cleaned out my car and put packages together that need to go out. I have been a complete slacker when it comes to mailing these things out.

Weight is holding steady. No gain, no loss this week. I need to step it up! How am I going to reach my goals if I keep doing the same things over and over.

I finally got a brain bucket! I usually ride around my neighborhood so I didn't feel like I needed a helmet but I have plans to venture out more and decided it might be a good idea. Yes, part of it was vanity but safety before vanity right? Plus it was a decent price. Helmets can be spendy for sure!

I finally went grocery shopping Tuesday night. I was out of everything. I am stocked up now with veggies and sides to accompany all that fish and chicken I bought. Most likely I will have tilapia for dinner. Until next time...

  1. It's always better to be safe than sorry. Helmets might be expensive but it's like an insurance, until you get into a situation that really calls for one, it always seems an extravagent expense. Fingers crossed that you'll never need it though.

  2. Holding your own is a good thing around holidays and festivities! Be happy you stuck to your guns, that's half the battle right there :)

I'd love to know what's on your mind...
