Weight is stable. I got my summer schedule. I am working 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. or 90 minutes a day. I tried to look at the positives. It gets me up and out of the house. I have time to spend with my mom. I can work out and actually use my gym membership. They did offer me another hour but there would be a 3 hour break in between but I respectfully declined. It is too much driving back and forth for me.
My mom will be going home tomorrow. She is stable but has declined. She will be 80 on June 30th. I have been a ostrich lately. Just trying to hide my head and wait for the fall out. It is not a healthy way to handle things and I am pushing forward to start making some changes.
The visit with my eldest bio brother went okay. I will write another post about it but the one thing that blew my mind was the fact that he said I looked like Sandy the most and that I had her mannerisms. Seems so strange to me that someone I never met had common mannerisms but then I think well my bio sister and I sound alike so it kinda makes sense. Still processing it all...

KATIE! I missed you gal. I was so excited to see your comment. I am so sorry however to hear about your mom. Definitely prayers your way.
ReplyDeleteMy son has the same hand gestures and mannerisms as my Dad (who passed away a few years before he was born). Somethings just come through.

DeleteKatie...it has been a while, I hope things are going somewhat well for ya. So sorry to hear about your Mom, it can be hard. Just keep holding on and try to enjoy her while she is here. Dad is doing ok but at times it is so hard to see him in the nursing home. But we still have some good times.

Not only do bio kids have mannerism's like their bio parents/siblings, but their personalities can be very alike too.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my eldest children have personalities like their bio father, who they have not seen in over 30 years!
That is quite sad, cos those personalities are NOT NICE... and his personality is the reason I left my first husband 31 years ago!
I love all the cat pictures. I am so glad to hear that your meeting with the bios went well. I have been in that same situation and I know how stressful that can be. I hope that your mom starts feeling better soon.
