- I don’t know what nationality I am. I was adopted and my birth certificate says I am from Betty and Ed J not my birth parent(s) All I know is that I am classified as White Non- Hispanic in demographic terms.
- I was a big time trouble maker in my youth. I have mended my fiendish ways but I was quite the rebel.
- I like birds of all kinds but I don’t like crows. I think they are evil and noisy. If I could legally shoot them I would.
- Sometimes I wonder if I see a lady that looks like me that she might be my birth mother. Since I live within a 15 mile radius of where I was born it is feasible that she could still live in the area. It has happened on numerous occasions.
- I don’t like Hot Dogs or Bologna. It freaks me out to think of what goes in them.
- When I was a baby, I lived in Foster Care for 6 months for my birth mother to decide if she wanted to keep me. The foster parents named me “May” but when I came home to Betty and Ed they named me after their mothers. Katherine was my mom's mom and Sophia Ann was my Dad's mom. I am now Katherine Ann but go by Katie J or Kate.

Wow, I didn't know you were adopted. I can imagine always looking. My nephew was adopted. He hasn't yet expressed a desire to find his birth mother, I doubt he ever will.
ReplyDeleteI can eat a hot dog or bologna once in a blue moon. I crave neither. My husband could eat both daily. :-p~~~~
Congrats on your award! =)
I hear ya on the crows - evil little buggers. And I think we need more details on this rebellious youth. Thanks so much for the award and sorry I haven't been commenting as much. Life sorta has me down at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the award. You are very sweet.
ReplyDeleteKatie J - I'm adopted too but have had a reunion with my birth family. It was amazing, and if you'd ever want to "talk" about adoption I'd love to. email: fittothefinish@hotmail.com
I'm an adoptive mom. I just read this book The Girls Who Went Away, it was about birthmoms who had to give their children up for adoption in the 50s & 60s. It was a good book, and it made me realize what kind of situations my daughter's parents may have been in. There are a lot of resources listed in the book for adoptees, if you're interested in that. I just wanted to share.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award! I'm fairly new to blogging so only have one... *sob* ;o)
ReplyDeleteI love all these blogging awards going around...one I have was because of you...*thanks again*
ReplyDeleteI also think adoptive children are Special!!!
I don't know how you can hate crows! They're adorable! Of course, I love like almost every animal. In fact the only creatures I don't like are scorpions and spiders. Ugh they creep me out!
ReplyDeleteKatie, thanks so much for the award that was sweet of you to think of me. I loved reading about you, it's always fun reading new things about people.
ReplyDeleteAwesome list. Congrats on yet another award!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award! What a great list. I chuckled when you said you were "quite the rebel", lol. Not doubting that you were, it was just the way you said it, so proper!
