Flippin Monday

I am having my middle finger surgery done at 2:30 p.m. today. I will not be put under anesthesia and will just have a local. Dave is going with me for moral support. I am nervous but I am sure it will be just fine. I think the daunting part is the needle. Not that I don't have experience with needles but I still don't like them. At first I was under the impression that I had to fast thanks to some uninformed arse who did not read my chart. I was not relishing the idea of not having coffee and anticipating the bone crushing headache that would soon ensue but I called when I got to the office and verified that I did not have to fast and I am sipping on my lovely java now.

Wanted to give a shout out to Kenz over at All the Weigh. She just hit the 100 lbs. lost! Hop on over and say hello when you have a chance!

Got a letter back from the State of California. My adoption information is at the Santa Clara County Social Services Dept. which is a few miles from where I live. I am sending them the packet I sent to the state today and should hear something soon. I also left voicmail for them on Friday.

Saw the Blind Side and really liked it. I was surprised that I didn't cry. People warned me ahead of time but I did fine. Usually I am pretty sappy but not this time...

I recieved the prestegious Oh My Blog Award from Julie at Wine at the Finish Line last week in the midst of my emotional outpouring and I wanted to acknowledge it. Since I received this award before and posted a first thing in the morning picture, this time, I think I will write the soundtrack of my youth. It should be a fun task but will take a little time to assemble so stay tuned for that. That is about it for now. I need to get some stuff done before I take off at noon.
