My LHA Summer Challenge Weigh-In #2

Looks like there are quite a few entries for the giveaway! Yay! It is not to late for you to enter by going here. I will be announcing the winner in tomorrow mornings post. All you have to do is tell me what your favorite lo-cal snack is. Also, if you Twitter or Facebook about the Giveaway, you can get an additional entry. I am glad you guys liked what I picked out :-) I am a little OCD about matching things if you couldn't tell.

One of my favorite snacks are Snapea Crisps by Calbee. They are usually in the Produce section at the Grocery store. Well I spotted another kind I had not seen before which was the Veggie Mix with Balsamic Vinegar OMG! They are dynamite and are 130 cals per serving.
Which reminds me... I do not like the saying "To die for" no food is worth dying for and I just don't like that phrase. I think there are enough adjectives to describe food that "To die for" should not be one of them IMHO.

So, the scale gods were a little cruel and showed me I gained 1.1 lbs. I am not surprised given Sunday's cookie caper, the lack of activity the last few days and my sun reaction.. Not going to lose sleep over it. Right back to it today. Speaking of I need to call Grace and see if she has given up on me.

Dave and I ended up getting a mobility scooter from his mother's house when they closed the house in January. It has been in our apartment in the front hallway since then. It is in really good condition and was only used a handful of times. It became my task to find a new home for it. I tried to sell it on Craig's List with not much luck. Then I contacted the Sr. Center and St. Justin's and got no responses. Well, it was listed in the Sunday bulletin at Holy Cross and one of my favorite families will be picking it up this evening for their 20 year old son, Sean who has Cerebral Palsy. I am so glad to see it go to a good place and how much it will help him. I think Manuela would approve. Plus, I get my hallway back! Until next time...

  5. Hey Kayie - not to worry about the gain. It'll be gone fast. I'm going to have to look back as I missed your cookie caper. Can't imagine what that would entail...HAHA! I had a saltine and butter caper myself yesterday - it seems that I can't keep anything in the house upon which I can take in butter! Hang in, KJ - you're dong great.

  8. My former boss used to say "sugar foot" instead of "shit."
Like that's such a bad word.
    What is this, first grade?
Anyway, now I think - "Yeah, diabetic sugar foot!"
and it's not so funny anymore.
    Like loving something to death.
    To die for.

  11. Those snappea crisps are delicious. I remember my son just loving them when he was teething! And I find that great that you aren't letting the little bit of wight gain set you back! Way to jump back in the game. That is awesome! :) Have a good week!
