Back in the Game!

So yesterday I decided to try to log into the bodybugg at work since it had been so long and it worked for me! Woohoo! It makes it SO much easier to track things. I have the digital display so I know what my calorie burn is but not tracking calories has been why I have been maintaining the last few months as well as all the turmoil. When I updated the activity it made me go back to the date I last wore it which was June 2oth so I had to click through each day. I feel like I am back in the WL game and I am armed and ready! Pun intended!

I am getting together with my "new" Uncle Steve on Saturday. I am excited to meet him and his wife Debbie. It is actually his birthday so it will be an extra special day. They live in Aptos which is about 30 miles west of me. I am a little nervous but I am sure it will go just fine. I have been emailing and talking on the phone with him so it's not like I have never spoken to him. I am not sure if I mentioned it but my grandmother did ceramics and Steve has some of her pieces set aside for me! How cool is that! For those of you who did not know, I like to paint ceramics and have another blog with samples of my work here. I will not be sharing this info with my mom. I think it is better if I keep the sharing of the bio family info to a minimum with her. My brother and SIL have been very supportive so I can share with them if need be. It is all new territory so I am iffy on how to handle it all.

We are having trouble getting our mail. The Post Office said they did not have the order. Funny, because I got 2 confirmations that they did! I will get back on the phone with them today and iron that out. Speaking of mail, I actually got two responses to the letter I sent to my "old" neighbors. This is the letter asking them if they witnessed disturbances or unlawful activities. I have two so far and would be happy with just one more so I can take them to court.

Tonight is the last World Series game for Dave so I am going to go with him. The game is at 7:00 p.m. at Municipal Stadium. I am going to bring my iPod in case I get antsy or bored so I can walk around. It should be fine though... they only play 7 innings vs. 9 so it should go fast. My goal is to get a decent picture of Dave. Not an easy task for sure. Hope you have a good day! Until next time...

  2. Glad you are back in the game Katie!! That sucks about your mail - hope you get that fixed with not too much hassle! :D

I actually love Men's 16 inch softball - in my old town they had an international tournament - teams from Japan would come to it! It was from a Wednesday night to Sunday being the final game - so much fun!

  3. "Armed and ready" - I love it!

I think it's wise to keep the sharing of your bio family with your mom to a minimum. That way you get to keep the happy and excited feelings about your new family, without hearing any negativity from your mom. Protection for both of you.
